Meeting Locations
Meetings are held quarterly in-person in locations throughout the Madison area.
Registration
When you arrive, check-in at the registration desk and retrieve your paper ballot and fill out a name badge.
Networking Reception
Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are often offered at the meeting thanks to sponsorships by local supporting companies.
Presentation
The presentation is kept to exactly one hour and generally takes place in a separate room from the reception with chairs available for members and guests. There is a brief welcome followed by any announcements made by representatives of 100+ Women Who Care – Madison. Each charity speaks for five minutes, followed by five minutes allowed for members to ask questions.
After all three charities have presented, members are asked to mark their chosen charity on the paper ballot, which are then collected. While the votes are being tallied, the winning charity from the last quarter presents an update to the membership on the status of their Impact Award. Board members tally the votes and the winner is announced to the membership. The winner will receive a non-restricted $10,000 grant and the other presenting charities receive equal amounts of the remaining donations.
Members are invoiced on the 7th day of the month each quarter – March, June, September and January – and encouraged to pay via ACH through the WAVE accounting software. The meeting is adjourned and an email announcing the winner is sent to all members.
Guests
Guests are welcome at all quarterly meetings. If a guest joins 100+ Women Who Care – Madison that evening, they are welcome to vote. If not, they may still choose to donate to the presenting charities if they wish to do so.
