100+ Women Who Care. 100+ Women Who Care was launched in 2014 and is based on the simple concept of bringing women together to make a large impact on their community. 100+ Women Who Care of Madison meetings are held four times a year where our members will raise $10,000 for a local charity. The women of Madison coming together to make a substantial financial impact on our community.
Our members also join with a minimal time commitment. 100+Women Who Care Madison meetings are only one hour. And in that one hour, 100 women select a local charity. 100 women write a $100 check and in 1 hour $10,000 is raised for that charity. No volunteering, no telemarketing, no event planning, no silent auction donations to solicit. Simply a great way to give back to our own community.
So how does it work? Three local 501 (c)(3) charities are selected to present at each meeting. A representative from each charity have the opportunity to present. A vote is held and at the end of the night, members write a $100 check directly to the winning charity! 100 women x $100 = $10,000. At the next meeting, a representative of the winning charity speaks to the members about the impact their gift has made toward helping that charity fulfill its vision and goals.
Women may join as individual or form a team of four members. All membership commitments are for one year. All charities under consideration for the organization are nominated by our members.
100+ Women Who Care Madison is for you if:
- You find yourself short on time to volunteer but you truly want to help those in need in our local community;
- You are able to commit to a one hour meeting every four months;
- You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a local charity, non-profit or worthy cause;
- You want your generous donation to become a part of a large amount of money by joining together with other women—creating a powerful impact in our local area
